Spicy Pork

This reminds me of another dish, although its deep fried; kulujoek.

 

Ingredients:

A delicious pork dish served as part of the rijsttafel.

  • 1/2 lbs lean pork,cubed
  • 10 sjalots
  • 7 chili peppers
  • 15 birdseye chilis
  • 1 tomato, skinned
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 2 lemongrass stalks
  • 5 tb sp oil
  • 7 lemon leaves

Preparation and execution.

Combine the chilies, tomato and sjalots. Mix up and pound the living sh.. out of them untill its like a paste. Take the bottom part of the lemon grass and smash.

Heat extra virgin oil in pan and add the paste. Fry for 3 minutes and then add the meat, ginger, lemon leaves and lemon grass. Turn heat down and let simmer for 13 minutes. Remove from pan and put in bowl to serve.
