Gado-gado, delicious vegetable dish.
A vegatable dish which can be served warm or cold. Recommended to serve with peanut sauce and kroepoek.
Ingredients
Lots of vitamins and minerals. No measurements here, just add as you like.
- Cabbage
- Lettuce
- Bean sprouts
- Cucumber
- Snow peas
- Cauliflower (optional)
- Boiled eggs
- Pearl onions
- Kroepoek
- For variation add some bak choi
How to make it.
First of all slightly cook the vegetables, except the cucumbers and lettuce of course and do not overDO them! Boil the eggs. If you like you can cut all vegies to eat size pieces but not neccessary. Pile everything together on a large dish, lettuce around the plate and bean sprouts towards the top. Mix in some small kroepoek when building the dish. Spread the sliced boiled eggs all over the top with pearl onions. Sprinkle some more bean sprouts over top and garnish the side with the cucumber. Make peanut sauce and spread over the dish generously. Also sprinkle over some Seroendeng (coconut and peanut pieces) for a nice mix. Serve with more kroepoek and beer.
Add sambal as needed. Wow, thats a good dish!!!!
